Workstream Strengthens Direct Sales Leadership Team

Leading Sales Executives from Kronos and WageWorks Join Workstream

BURLINGAME, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Workstream Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTM - News), a leading provider of On-Demand Compensation, Performance and Talent Management solutions, today announced it has hired two new Vice Presidents of Sales and promoted another one internally to round out the Company's Sales Management team.

"The On-Demand Talent Management software market is growing rapidly and Workstream is building a world-class sales team to capitalize on this opportunity and to accelerate our North American revenue growth."

Joining Workstream as the Company's Vice President of Western Region Sales is Richard Sherwood, who was most recently with Kronos Incorporated (NASDAQ: KRON - News). Prior to Kronos, Mr. Sherwood was the Vice President of HR sales for Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL - News) from 1999 through 2006. During his tenure, Mr. Sherwood grew revenues from $11 million to over $40 million. Mr. Sherwood also served in various HR sales management positions at SAP, Lawson and Cyborg.

The Company also announced that Edmundo Gamboa Jr. has joined as Workstream's new Vice President of Education and Government Sales. Mr. Gamboa joins Workstream from WageWorks, Inc., which is privately held, where he was the Vice President of E&G sales for the past four years. In this role Mr. Gamboa's team generated nearly 1/4 of their Company's overall revenues. Prior to WageWorks, Mr. Gamboa worked for Mr. Gupta running Education and Government Sales for the PeopleSoft on-demand business. In this capacity Mr. Gamboa's team was responsible for generating revenues at a run rate of over $20 million dollars in only three years.

In addition to these new hires, Workstream also announced the promotion of Neil McAdorey from Senior Director of Business Development to Vice President of Eastern Region Sales. Mr. McAdorey has worked for Workstream over the past two years and was primarily responsible for the success of the Company's ExcellerateHRO distribution partnership.

Also joining Workstream are two highly seasoned and experienced Regional Sales Managers with deep domain experience of selling Human Capital Solutions at PeopleSoft and a direct competitor.
